Spring Fever

It's official I have Spring Fever. It's been a long winter and the past few days have been filled with frigid temps and lots of snow. I have also had the worst cold I've had in years. Overall, it's been pretty miserable.

I've spent the majority of the last 5 days here-

(yes, that's Charlie in the pic above. He's slept with me every night since I got him 3 years ago.)

I'm finally am starting to feel better. J will be out of town until Sunday, so I'm already making plans and lists to start on Spring cleaning. I thought I'd share my Spring Cleaning Checklist with all of you. I try to go through this list every season. It's amazing how much dirt/dust/gunk we track in, especially now with 2 dogs. I'd be happy to email this list to you in a Word document, just leave me a comment below.

Seasonal Cleaning List

Kitchen:
__Empty and scrub down the inside of the fridge
__Empty and clean inside of the utensil drawers
__Scrub down the cupboard exteriors
__Clean the stove hood filter and fridge condenser coil
__Replace water filters in fridge, sink, coffeemaker, etc
__Clean drain (baking soda, vinegar, cover, sit, then add boiling water to wash it
down)
__Shine sink (Bon Ami, then Windex)
__Polish appliances and clean coffeemaker
__Scrub tile grout
__Clean out pantry and reorganize

Bathroom:
__Launder shower curtain
__Empty, weed, clean out and reorganize medicine cabinet
__Shine sink
__Scrub tile grout

Bedrooms:
__Wash the inside of windows
__Strip the bed, flip the mattress, and vacuum
__Launder mattress pad and dust ruffle
__Launder pillows
__Sort through wardrobe to ditch or donate unused clothes/accessories
__Clean out from under the bed
__Organize and purge from night table

Living Areas:
__Wash inside of windows
__Change HVAC filter
__Flip sofa and chair cushions
__Clean and scrub down baseboards and moulding.
__Wax floors if needed
__Shampoo wall to wall carpeting and air-out area rugs

Outdoor:
__Wash outside of windows with water and vinegar solution
__Clean screens
__Power wash porch areas
__Clean out grill
__Clean and store outdoor furniture and accessories

Automobile:
__Clean out car and trunk
__Winterize vehicle fluids/tires as needed for your area
