Here's to my valentines...

After a particularly trying day yesterday (i'll share details some other time), I'm drying my tears, regaining my focus and remembering all of the wonderful people I have in my life. So as I look to the future, I cannot help but think of the past and smile.

And since today happens to be Valentine's Day, how even more appropriate to think of those that I love the most....

My dogs, who no matter how many times I come and go, act as though me coming home is the true highlight of their day. so sweet

Our family (both sides), whose love and support is unwavering

Our extended circle of friends, that can make any random night an awesome time.

True friends that wake up at 6:30am on a Sunday to run in the hot August heat to support me and the memory of my mom.

Friends to celebrate with, drink with and get silly with.

Most importantly are my best friends-

Meghan, my best friend of 21 years (how on earth are we this old already!?!). We've seen each other through everything and I simply would've lost my sanity years ago without her in my life.

Annalisa, one of the sweetest, most thoughtful people I know. She gives me the best advice, maybe not always want I want to hear but always what I need to hear. I'm going to be visiting her in a few short days and cannot wait!!!! Love, love, love her!


Meryl, a friend that I can share unedited stories with, count on to join me for a drink whenever I need one (which these days is pretty regularly) and share an uncomplicated, drama free friendship with.


Jenni, a new friend that is possibly my non-identical, long lost twin. She makes me laugh until I have tears in my eyes every time we're together. It's a good thing I'm so fabulous, because she is the splitting image of myself:)

Hillary and Jes, my college roommates, who I shared many fantastic times with. We don't get to hang out all together that often, but we can always pick up wherever we left off. I'll always remember doing shots of Viaka vodka w/ Jes out of a film canister b/c we didn't have any shot glasses in our dorm room, decorating for Xmas the day after Halloween, skipping an afternoon class to make pitchers of margaritas and lay out. I won't get into anymore, this IS the internet afterall:)

And of course my #1 Valentine

Jacob, someone who is far better to me than I deserve.
